The Delaware Soybean Board administers the federal Soybean Checkoff, a 100% farmer-funded program, to benefit First State soybean farmers.
Our mission is to improve the profitability of Delaware soybean farmers by conducting research, marketing and educational activities which result in a stronger soybean industry.
The Delaware Soybean Board seeks partners to submit project proposals to address priority areas identified during its strategic planning this spring.
Using input from farmers, agribusinesses and the University of Delaware, the Delaware Soybean Board created and adopted a new strategic plan. Its new mission: “Invest Delaware soybean checkoff dollars to create opportunities for Delaware soybean farmers to become more profitable and efficient.”
The priority areas include Animal Agriculture; Emerging Markets; Consumer Education; Technology and Regulation.
Production research projects have a different grant cycle and application form which is found here.
