FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Deadline to Apply: July 14, 2025

The Delaware Soybean Board (DSB) is now accepting proposals for innovative promotion and communication projects that support its mission of increasing the profitability of Delaware soybean farmers.

Projects that raise public awareness of the soybean industry, promote the benefits of U.S. soy, or educate key audiences on topics relevant to soybean production will be given priority. However, all proposals that have the potential to benefit the soybean industry in the First State will be considered.

“Market development and strategic communication are critical to the long-term success of our farmers and the soybean industry as a whole,” said Tim Rogers, Chairman of the Delaware Soybean Board. “We’re looking for creative, high-impact ideas that promote the value of Delaware-grown soybeans and engage growers, consumers, and other end-users.”

All proposals should outline clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and alignment with DSB’s strategic goals. The soybean checkoff provides funding for selected projects, supporting education, research, and promotion initiatives that build value for Delaware soybean farmers.

Projects should be scheduled for completion during the upcoming fiscal year, October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026. To learn more or submit a proposal, contact the Delaware Soybean Board at danielle@desoybeans.org. The deadline for applying is July 14, 2025.

Delaware farmers plant about 150,000 acres of soybeans annually, producing over seven million bushels of beans and generating approximately $60 million in value to the state. The Delaware Soybean Board consists of nine farmer-directors and the Secretary of Agriculture. Funded through a one-half of one percent assessment on the net market value of soybeans at their first point of sale, the checkoff works with partners in the value chain to identify and capture opportunities that increase farmer profit potential.
